Itinerary Day by Day
Day 1 – August 19th – Arrival in Kraków
- 17:55 – Arrival at Kraków-Balice Airport (Aegean Airlines)
- Airport transfer to the hotel in the historic center of Kraków (Jewish district Kazimierz)
- Check-in and welcome dinner in restuarant
- Accommodation: *** hotel in the historic part of the city (Kazimierz 1 & 2) – 16 rooms for 33 people
DAY 2 – August 20nd – Auschwitz Memorial Museum
- Breakfast
- Transfer to Auschwitz Memorial Museum – 75 km, around 1,5 hours. Group must be on time. Museum is very strict.
- 11.00 – Tour in Auschwitz. We have group tickets for whole group + greek speaking tour guide Iwona Piaszczyk and a separate individual ticket for the same hour for Evengelos Kanaris. Iwona should help that all group will walk together and also interprter to Greek language.
- Tour is 3,5 hours.
- 14.30 – lunch break
- 17.30 – back in Kraków. Walking tour in Kraków (possibility to move it to last day if the group is tired and/or in bad mood after visiting the Memorial Museum)

DAY 3 – August 21st – Wieliczka Salt Mine and Zakopane
- Breakfast
- Tour to Wieliczka Salt Mine. Tickets provided by Małopolska Organizacja Turystyczna. They will inform me about the exact time of entrance.
- Lunch break.
- Transfer to Zakopane (2 hours)
- Dinner in highlander style and a short tour of Zakopane highlights
- Check-in for four nights in hotel Hyrny 150 m from Zakopane main street. 16 rooms: 15 double/twin and 1 x triple – like in rooming list.
DAY 4 – August 22 nd – Kasprowy Wierch and hiking
- Breakfast
- Transfer to Kuźnice
- Way up to Kasprowy Wierch with cable car.
- Hiking in the Tatras with two licenced mountain guide – one for easier group, one for more difficult group.
DAY 5 – August 23rd – Rysy and hiking
- Breakfast
- Difficult scrambling on mount Rysy. 2 guides included one per 10 people. – if more than 20 people are in the group for Rysy please write me so I can arrange third guide.
- Hike from Polish side with possibility of shortening the tour with horse carriage/e-bus and traverse to Slovak side or hike from Slovak side up and down (weather forecast is the key here. This day can be moved to day 4 or day 6 if needed)

- Ascent: 510 m
- Duration: Approximately 4 hours
- The hike begins in the Strążyska Valley and proceeds to the Siklawica Waterfall. From there, the group will ascend Sarnia Skała, then continue through the Białego Valley. The trail concludes by passing the ski jumps and ending in the Zakopane city center.
DAY 6 – August 24th – hiking in Western Tatras
- Breakfast.
- Two mountain guides provided: one for hiking group one for mountain group.

- Distance: 12,1 km
- Ascent: 660 m
- Duration: Approximately 5,5 hours
- The hike begins in a forested valley, leading to a charming wooden church nestled in the mountains. From there, the trail continues to Rusinowa Polana, one of the largest meadows in the Tatra Mountains. This scenic spot offers breathtaking views and is home to grazing sheep and traditional cheesemakers. The route then ascends to the panoramic summit of Gęsia Szyja before descending along a circular trail.
Day 7 – August 25th – Niedzica Castle, Dunajec Rafting and Kraków
- Breakfast
- Transfer to Pieniny Mountains. On the way stop in UNESCO list church in Dębno Podhalańskie.
- Niedzica Castle tour.
- 2-3 hours traditional rafting – tickets provided by Małopolska Organizacja Turystyczna.
- Those who are not interested in rafting may go with me to Trzy Korony or Sokolica peak in Pieniny Mountains (weather determines the itinerary)
- Lunch break in SPA town of Szczawnica.
- Transfer to Kraków.
- Free time or
- Check in in Hotel Kazimierz I. 16 rooms according to rooming list (15 twin/double + 1 triple)
DAY 8 – August 26th – Airport Transfer
- Breakfast.
- Free time in Kraków or guided walk of Kraków (if not done on Day 2).
- Farewell dinner

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION IN EVENTS
ORGANIZED BY THE TOUR GUIDE COMPANY HUBERT JARZĘBOWSKI
I. PRELIMINARY PROVISIONS. CONCLUSION OF THE AGREEMENT
- These terms and conditions of participation in events organized by the Tour Guide Company Hubert Jarzębowski constitute an integral part of the Registration – Agreement.
- The parties to this agreement are the Firma Przewodnicka Hubert Jarzębowski, operated as a business by Hubert Jarzębowski, registered in the Central Register and Information on Economic Activity under the REGON number 123028546, operating under the brand HIGH AWAY, being a tourism organizer within the meaning of the Act of November 24, 2017, on tourist events and related tourist services (hereinafter referred to as the „Organizer”), and the „Client” who signs the agreement for the provision of tourist services (hereinafter referred to as the „Agreement”).
- By signing the Agreement, the Client confirms that they have read and accepted the General Terms and Conditions of Participation in Events organized by the Tour Guide Company Hubert Jarzębowski, which constitute an integral part of the Agreement.
- The Agreement is concluded at the moment it is signed by the Client and an authorized representative of the Organizer. For minors, the Agreement must be signed by their legal guardians.
- The Client signs the Agreement on their own behalf and on behalf of all participants listed in the Agreement, thereby assuming responsibility for ensuring that these participants comply with the terms of the Agreement.
- When concluding the Agreement, the Organizer specifies the type of documents required for the event and the deadline for presenting or delivering them to the Organizer’s office. Failure to provide the documents within the agreed deadline shall be considered a resignation from the event due to reasons attributable to the Client.
- The Client is obliged to inform the Organizer about any changes of address, surname, passport replacement, etc., within a timeframe that allows for necessary formalities to be completed, not shorter than 14 days before the start of the event. The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any consequences resulting from the Client’s failure to fulfill this obligation.
- The Client declares that, prior to concluding the Agreement, the Organizer provided them with:
– information on applicable passport, visa, and health regulations,
– information about the possibility to conclude insurance covering costs of cancellation of participation in the tourist event, as well as insurance covering accident consequences and medical expenses
– information about particular life and health hazards in the visited areas and the possibility of obtaining related insurance.
II. PAYMENT TERMS
- The full price must be paid 30-25 calendar days before the start date of the event, unless the event program states otherwise. In cases where the program price is expressed in Euros, payment may be made in that currency or in PLN according to the settlement provided by the Organizer.
- Payments should be made to the following accounts:

- The price agreed upon in the Agreement may increase if there is a rise in transportation costs, official fees, taxes, or charges for services such as airport, loading, or unloading fees in sea and air ports, or changes in currency exchange rates. The price cannot be increased within 20 days prior to the start date of the event.
- The price does not include optional excursions or single room accommodation, unless otherwise stated in the Agreement.
III. TRANSFER OF RIGHTS, CANCELLATION, EVENT CANCELLATION, CONTRACT AMENDMENT
- The Client may transfer all rights under the tourist services agreement to a person who meets the conditions to participate in the tourist event, without the consent of the Organizer, provided that the person simultaneously assumes all obligations arising from the agreement.
- The transfer of rights and assumption of obligations referred to in point 1 shall be effective towards the Organizer if the Client notifies the Organizer of this before the start of the tourist event, no later than 21 days prior to the event start date.
- The Client and the person assuming their rights shall be jointly and severally liable for any unpaid part of the event price and costs incurred by the Organizer as a result of the participant change.
- The Client may resign from the event before it starts by notifying the Organizer in writing of their resignation. The date of resignation is considered to be the date the Organizer receives the Client’s relevant statement. In such a case, the Organizer is entitled to retain the reservation fee and additionally deduct costs incurred in connection with the preparation for the event.
- The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the event due to force majeure, decisions of government authorities, or an insufficient number of participants in the tourist event. The Organizer will inform the Client in writing about the cancellation due to insufficient participants no later than 14 days before the start of the event. In such a case, the Client will receive a full refund of all fees paid for the tourist event. The minimum number of participants for events to European Union countries is 4 persons, and for other countries 6 persons, unless the specific event program states otherwise.
- The Organizer reserves the right to change significant terms of the Agreement for reasons beyond their control before the event starts. The Client will be informed immediately about any changes.
- The Client, informed as above in point 6 about the change of significant terms, should notify the Organizer within 3 days whether they:
a) accept the proposed change to the Agreement, or
b) withdraw from the Agreement with an immediate refund of all fees paid. - If the Client, in accordance with point III.7.b, withdraws from the Agreement or if the Organizer cancels the tourist event for reasons beyond the Client’s control, the Client has the right, at their discretion, to:
a) participate in a substitute event of the same or higher standard, unless they agree to an event of a lower standard with a refund of the price difference;
b) demand an immediate refund of all payments made.
IV. LIABILITY
- The Organizer is responsible for organizing the event in accordance with the terms of the concluded Agreement and applicable regulations.
- The Organizer is liable for non-performance or improper performance of the tourist services agreement, unless the non-performance or improper performance was solely caused by: the action or omission of the Client; the action or omission of third parties not involved in performing the services provided under the Agreement, if such actions or omissions could not have been foreseen or avoided; or force majeure.
- If, during the course of the tourist event, the Organizer fails to provide services specified in the Agreement that constitute an essential part of the program, the Organizer is obliged, without charging the Client any additional costs, to provide appropriate substitute services within the event. If providing substitute services is impossible or if the Client, for justified reasons, does not consent to them and withdraws from the Agreement, the Organizer is obliged, without charging the Client additional costs, to ensure the Client’s return to the place where the event started or to another agreed location. If it is impossible to provide substitute services, the Client cannot claim compensation if the impossibility to provide substitute services is caused solely by:
a) actions or omissions of third parties not involved in providing the substitute service, if such actions or omissions could not have been foreseen or avoided, or
b) force majeure. - Each participant of the event is obliged to comply with passport, visa, customs, sanitary, health, and other regulations of the country from which they travel and to which they are going. Any costs arising from failure to comply with these regulations shall be borne by the participant.
- The Client is obliged to:
- follow the instructions and guidelines of the tour leader and mountain guide during the stay in the mountains,
- hold a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of the event’s completion (if required),
- possess a valid visa,
- have the required vaccinations (if required),
- comply with the rules and regulations regarding order, safety, and fire protection applicable in means of transport and accommodation facilities,
- comply with safety and nature protection regulations in national parks and nature reserves.
If, for these reasons, the execution of the event becomes impossible or hindered, the Client is obliged to pay full compensation in accordance with Article 471 of the Civil Code.
6. In the event the Client cannot participate due to reasons attributable to the Client, the Organizer is entitled to retain the reservation fee and additionally deduct costs incurred in connection with the preparation for the trip.
V. COMPLAINTS
- If during the tourist event the Client notices any defective performance of the contract, they should immediately notify the tour leader and the Organizer in a manner appropriate to the given service.
- Regardless of the notification mentioned in point 1, the Client may submit a complaint to the Organizer indicating the defect in the contract performance and specifying their claim. Such a complaint should be submitted no later than 30 days from the end date of the event.
- The Organizer will consider the complaint within 30 days from the date of its submission.
VI. INSURANCE
- As part of the purchased event, the Client is covered by an insurance contract concluded with UNIQA TU S.A., which covers the costs of the Client’s return to their home country in the event that the tour operator or travel agent fails to provide such return despite their obligation, as well as covers the refund of payments made by clients in case of non-performance of contractual obligations.
- As part of the purchased event, the Client is insured by UNIQA TU S.A. for medical expenses up to 30,000 euros, and for accident consequences up to 4,000 euros for programs conducted outside Europe; and up to 10,000 euros for medical expenses and 2,000 euros for accident consequences for trips within European countries.
- By signing the contract, the Client declares on their own behalf and on behalf of other participants for whom they make payment for the tourist event that they have received and read the contents of the UNIQA Insurance General Terms and Conditions “Kontynenty”.

- Additionally, the Organizer offers the Client the possibility to conclude an insurance contract covering the costs of cancellation of participation in the tourist event for an additional fee.
VII. FINAL PROVISIONS
- Matters not regulated by this agreement shall be governed by the provisions of the Act of November 24, 2017 on tourist events and related tourist services, as well as the provisions of the Civil Code.
- Concluding the contract for the tourist event signifies consent, within the meaning of the Act of August 29, 1997 on the protection of personal data, to the processing, updating, and sharing of personal data necessary for the execution of this agreement.
- The agreement has been drawn up in two identical copies, one for each party.
